New Outline Posted Sunday, December 4, 2000 - 7:59:PM, by Ace
Wow wow wow wow wow. That's the only way I can describe the new site. Now it's called "Gokou Land Evolved..." Like the new outline?..it's A LOT better than my other site. I will be updating constantly when I can, just not daily. I am looking for someone to become my partner . If I do get a partner then I'll hopefully get this site updated daily. It's just way too much work to be a one man job. I'm gonna build this website now one page at a time. This is the first page, and if I update it by myself it'll be atleast three days a page, sorry, but I have a lot of other things going on in my life to update every day. I'll update in three days, give or take a day or two, until then, Cya.

"We are extremely pleased to partner with FUNimation to bring Dragon Ball Z to video game fans," said Paul Rinde, senior vice president and general manager of Infogrames' WizardWorks division. "Dragon Ball Z is a favorite among millions of kids and is one of the most highly searched topics on Lycos. We're confident we can bring the characters into a new medium for its growing fan base to enjoy."

Infogrames was the clear choice for publishing the next series of Dragon Ball Z games," said Gen Fukunaga, president of FUNimation Productions, Ltd. "Their expertise in taking well-known licenses and bringing them to life, while representing their true integrity of the storyline and characters, will surely please our Dragon Ball Z fans."

Irwin Prez Resigns! Riots Break Out! Posted Thursday, November 30, 2000 - 7:32:PM, by Ace.
UMJAMS spotted this story first. As you probably well know, Irwin is the popular toymaker that was on track to make dbz toys. Here is a bit of a press release from Reuters:

Reuters reports that George Irwin resigned on Monday as president and chief executive of Irwin Toy Ltd. as analysts speculated its sales were less than stellar heading into the crucial Christmas season. Irwin is best known for its Dragon Ball Z figures. Macdonald Irwin, company chairman and father of George Irwin, has taken over the president's role until a permanent replacement was found and a search committee has been struck to find a new president and chief executive, the company said. Maureen Atkinson, an analyst at J.C. Williams Group, said that as a manufacturer, Irwin Toy will have already had its ''kick at Christmas'' since retailers have stocked holiday merchandise by this point. George Irwin's departure likely came in the wake of disappointing holiday sales, she said.

New DBZ Toys Posted Thursday, November 30, 2000 - 8:24:PM, by Ace.
Palisades Marketing has announced that they have signed a license to produce a series of resin statues and mini-busts based on the phenomenally popular manga and anime series created by Akira Toriyama.

The design work on these new DBZ products has just begun, and there isn't an official release date scheduled at this point. Late Spring 2001 is likely, but far from carved in stone. Dragon Ball Z fans are a demanding lot, and Palisades is committed to creating some of the coolest DBZ items on the market.
